At the recently finished General Assembly in Varna, Biljana Zdravković, general manager of Jugokoncert and Bemus, was elected member of the European Festivals Association (EFA) Board. The Board of this huge and most important festivals network, composed of more than 100 art festivals from 38 countries around the continent, comprises as well one representative from Italy, Slovenia, France, Sweden, Spain, Lithuania and Czech Republic. This is an important recognition to Bemus which is to present its 43rd edition this year, as well as a tribute to Biljana Zdravković for her enduring and dedicated work at the affirmation of music and organization of music life.
At the same meeting the Serbian Festivals Association (SEFA) was elected collective member of the EFA network . SEFA Association is composed of the most prominent festivals in the country: BELEF, BEMUS, Belgrade Jazz Festival, BITEF, Jazz and Improvised Music Festival from Kanjiža, Festival of Choreographic Miniatures, Guitar Art, International Review of Composers, Subotica International Festival of Children’s Theatres, NOMUS, Sterijino pozorje and TIBA.
