Year 2009 was dedicated to Ljubica Marić. The celebration of the centenary of birth of this great composer consisted of exhibition at the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences, International Music Symposium in the organization of Musicological Institute, publication of the book Records by Ljubica Marić, and especially by numerous concerts in Belgrade, other Serbian cities, as well as in Amsterdam, Paris, Helsinki…
The celebration took place under the high patronage of UNESCO and the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Jugokoncert, PGP RTS and Music Production of Serbian Radio and Television are busily preparing a four CDs edition with the complete opus of Ljubica Marić. The promotion is planned some time this year, thus completing a complex program of the centenary celebration.
