FRÉDÉRIC CHOPIN 1810 – 1849 – 2010
Bicentenary of birth
Proclamation!
1.Frédéric Chopin Society – Serbia is founded with the goal to promote the music of Polish composer Frédéric Chopin the creative opus of whome is part of the world cultural heritage.
2. Frédéric Chopin Society – Serbia (in further text: Society) will be active from December 1st 2009 to December 31st 2010.
3. Goals of the Society:
Contribution to the quality, intensity and attractiveness of the programs celebrating bicentennial of Frédéric Chopin’s byrth in Serbia.
Inducing piano, concert and other creative activities of contemporary artists from various artistic fields inspired by Chopin’s life and work.
Education of young or any other admirer and listener of Chopin’s music and affirmation of the artistic music in general.
Establishing or strengthening international contacts of Serbian and foreign artists, as well as societies bearing Chopin’s name.
Enlarging the number of people interested in Chopin’s music through musical and non-musical activities, web presentations and other interactive forms of communication.
Strengthening connections of music and other cultural institutions in Serbia thus encouraging the creation of common programs throughout the celebration.
4. The Society is voluntary and non-profit.
5. The Society can have an unlimited number of members, musicians and non-musicians disregarding where they live or work. Members of the Society can be citizens of Serbia or any other foreign country.
6. According to resolution of its members, The Society can continue with its activities after the end of 2010.
7. Frédéric Chopin Society operates within the Music Action Center in Belgrade, Alekse Nenadovića Street,10.
